Shannon's yoga journey began as a continuing education class. Being a licensed and practicing Physical Therapy Assistant for 28 years, she thought yoga would bring an extra benefit to her patients. Boy was she surprised when it was her that benefited the most!!
After practicing at Synergy for about 3 years and with the mentoring from Betsey Williams, she decided to get her 200 hour RYT from Rasika Yoga School in Cornelius and Columbia completing it in November of 2016. This alignment based style of yoga fits perfectly with her PT training and allows ANY and EVERY body a chance to participate and learn the amazing benefits of a yoga practice. She can work with students who have a variety of injuries to modify a practice that is safe and effective.

An ongoing exploration in the foundations of yoga. You will learn the history, basic techniques, and general information about yogic philosophy. Your instructor will lead you through a basic practice incorporating some of the fundamental yoga poses. This class is perfect for beginners, and provides great reinforcements for the more experienced.
